- What is a minor dwelling?
- A small stand-alone home, up to 70m², often built as a granny flat, tiny home or cabin on an existing residential property.
- Can I build under Schedule 1A?
- Many of our plans are shaped around the 2026 Schedule 1A exemption pathway for minor dwellings, but final eligibility depends on your site, council and LBP.
- Do I still need council approval?
- It depends on your site and council. Some minor dwellings can be built without full building consent under Schedule 1A, but you should always confirm with your council first.
- Are these granny flat plans?
- Yes — our plans are designed for granny flats, minor dwellings, holiday cabins and compact homes up to 70m².
- Are these tiny homes?
- They are fixed small dwellings, not transportable. Think compact, permanent homes rather than wheels.
